For me, creating a meditation practice has been a struggle, mostly because it felt like the concept of meditation had very rigid rules and requirements around how to do it "right".
How are we boxing ourselves in when it comes to meditation because of what we think we "should" be doing?
I invite you to throw out all the rules.
My meditations now are very different from what they used to be.
My old focus was: Quiet the mind, be completely still. My new focus is: FEEL, notice, observe, be mostly still.
I feel my body, I observe my mind, creating an awareness and a sensitivity for myself and my energy field.
Now meditation feels exciting and juicy because it's different every time. Because it's a practice in which I get to know myself, generating confidence from the inside and sharpening my mental focus.
What old rules do you have about meditation that it's time to throw out?
