Commitment to commitment.
I got the whisper from Spirit a couple months ago to open an Etsy shop and start sharing my creations online. Since committing to this path I've come up against many moments where my fear and programming told me to stop, or that this wasn't really what I wanted, or that my creations weren't worthy. I even had one this morning at the Post Office! But I've continued to persevere because, *commitment*.
Even if nothing comes from it, even if nothing sells, I'm doing this for me. And I trust that it will lead where it needs to lead. And, like my new favorite quote from Martin Luther King Jr. says...
“If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”
So I'm moving forward. :)
I've learned so much from the process of just opening the shop and honoring my commitment to myself. I learned that life is like Art. You can't judge your art by the first layer you make, just like you can't judge your commitments by how you feel at the first step (especially because those first steps are often the most uncomfortable).
LAYERING is key. Adding detail. Continuing to move forward, even if it's at a crawl.
I'm so excited to finally share this with you!
I hope this shop brings you the joy and the beauty that you crave, like it does for me :)
