I encourage you to take it in with some presence and breath to receive healing and activation from her. I'm certain the reason I'm being so powerfully called to create these art pieces is because their frequency and colors are healing & activating.
This piece started with one clear intention, as most of my pieces do. This time is was simply, to let go.
I started this piece at the beginning of 2018 in January with the only intention of making a mandala. I also recorded all the time I spent painting on this piece for the first time because I was curious about how long my processes were taking.

This painting is an accumulation of about 20 hours of work - thinking, sketching, studying, painting - and about 20 layers of paint.
This image was NOT in my head when I started. My process usually goes like this: I have an idea and then I take it one step at a time. I follow the energy, I go where it takes me, I surrender the outcome and then at the end I am continually blown away.
It requires patience. Slowing down. Listening. Following the energy. Trust.
The more I create art the more I realize it's a metaphor for life.
It's easy to stop when you don't like what you see in front of you. But art has taught me to keep adding layers, keep refining, keep taking one step forward. Keep going and slowly but surely the brilliance is carved out and revealed.
As a deeply passionate, creative being I have ideas and images and inspirations floating through my mind constantly. In the past this has made it very hard to complete things, or to even pick one project and focus on it.
Lately I've been practicing single-pointed focus. I pour all my creative energy into one project, and once it's done I just *know* what to do next. Instead of leaking my energy jumping out into the future tryin...
