I'm so excited to share my newest creation with you!

I encourage you to take it in with some presence and breath to receive healing and activation from her. I'm certain the reason I'm being so powerfully called to create these art pieces is because their frequency and colors are healing & activating.

This piece started with one clear intention, as most of my pieces do. This time is was simply, to let go.

I always like to try new...

This piece holds a special place in my heart.

I started this piece at the beginning of 2018 in January with the only intention of making a mandala. I also recorded all the time I spent painting on this piece for the first time because I was curious about how long my processes were taking.

At about the 30 hour mark I realized I was painting the island of Hawaii, which is interesting because I had an upcoming trip to Hawaii for a...

I love how each piece has it's own soul, it's own evolution.

I love the process of discovery from the moment I get the final sketch, to the moment painting when I finally catch a glimpse of the whole piece coming together.

This piece started out with just me playing with a ruler, and this is where it took me.

There are two ways that I like to create and I teeter-totter, mix and match, between the two.

The 1st way - I think about i...

I finally got a protractor and can make circles!

I have been wanting to make a Seed of Life painting for a while now but never had the right tools.

The Seed of Life is a universal symbol of Creation, and I love how (with no plan), this piece took me where it did. To form a full web around itself. So beautiful.

This is also the first time I ever used the gold paint. (You can see it just outside the the Seed).

I looks really bea...

This is one of my favorite pieces, when I first turned to Acrylic paint from Watercolor I realized how much control I finally had over the paint, which made details MUCH easier.

So, I wanted to have some fun with details!

In preparation, I studied about optical illusions and illusory motion and spent 3 hours just sketching in pencil (and mostly erasing) this whole thing out.

The gradient was super fun to do but then going b...

Finally finished!

This painting is an accumulation of about 20 hours of work - thinking, sketching, studying, painting - and about 20 layers of paint.

This image was NOT in my head when I started. My process usually goes like this: I have an idea and then I take it one step at a time. I follow the energy, I go where it takes me, I surrender the outcome and then at the end I am continually blown away.

There are always moments wher...

August 23, 2017

This time last year I wasn't painting at all.

I didn't know what to paint. I was bored with it. I would start with something and within 2 minutes think "I don't like this", get frustrated that I "wasn't good", and then give up.

Two big things happened that shifted everything:

1) I started watching old reruns of "The Joy of Painting" with Bob Ross and I watched his technique. I saw how he layered, one step at a time, adding things...

Art is one of my biggest teachers.

It requires patience. Slowing down. Listening. Following the energy. Trust.

The more I create art the more I realize it's a metaphor for life.

It's easy to stop when you don't like what you see in front of you. But art has taught me to keep adding layers, keep refining, keep taking one step forward. Keep going and slowly but surely the brilliance is carved out and revealed.

Masterpieces are built...

July 10, 2017

Lately I've been getting visions of art I want to create way out in the future, way beyond my current skill level.

After having that rush of inspiration pouring through I just had to create something. And this came through.

I really had no plan, except I thought it would be cool to do a tree, almost like you could flip it either way and you'd see roots.

Rooted into the earth and also the sky. The spirit rooted in...

May 10, 2017

As a deeply passionate, creative being I have ideas and images and inspirations floating through my mind constantly. In the past this has made it very hard to complete things, or to even pick one project and focus on it.

Lately I've been practicing single-pointed focus. I pour all my creative energy into one project, and once it's done I just *know* what to do next. Instead of leaking my energy jumping out into the future tryin...
